ReformCue MCP & Codex
ReformCue's Model Context Protocol (MCP) server lets compatible assistants use your authorized library. The Codex plugin adds instructions for working with ReformCue. Studio-management tools are available on enabled servers while the plugin update is prepared.
- Connecting a compatible MCP client
- Creating moves and planning routines with your own library
- Managing your authorized Studio workspace
Connect your account
The Codex plugin uses the same authenticated server. Its marketplace submission is under review, so public plugin installation may not yet be available. A compatible remote MCP client can connect directly.
- 1In a client that supports authenticated remote MCP servers, add https://www.reformcue.com/mcp as a Streamable HTTP server.
- 2Complete the ReformCue sign-in when prompted. Use the account you use in the app; never paste your password or session token into a chat.
- 3Ask the assistant to get your ReformCue context so it can identify the libraries and permissions available to your account.
What the current tools do
Try: ‘Preview a 45-minute Lagree routine using my studio moves.’ Or: ‘Find my recent routines and suggest a different class plan.’ A preview does not save anything.
- Find authorized moves and inspect routine history.
- Create a move when you ask and build a routine from existing authorized moves.
- Preview a routine and validate its exact duration before saving.
- Save requested routines to an authorized library and return a link to the result.
Studio management
The updated plugin package includes the studio-manager skill. When enabled, the server exposes studio discovery plus separate read/write tools. Discovery lists only operations available to your current role.
Examples: ‘Create a pinned opening checklist for our North location, without notifying staff.’ ‘Preview this monthly calendar before importing it.’
- Find staff notes by title/category and read one note at a time.
- Create and edit Markdown staff notes; manage pin and location audience settings.
- Assign staff to one or more existing studio locations.
- Read studio events and classes, preview or apply monthly calendar imports, and create or edit either calendar type with one tool.
- Create or edit targeted announcements and read their delivery audience.
- Read authorized studio chat channels and post messages when you ask.
Permissions, edits and notifications
- Owners and admins can manage staff notes, staff location assignments, calendars and announcements. Only owners can delete announcements. Instructors can read authorized content, post to authorized chats and delete their own chat messages.
- Note searches return titles and metadata. Opening a note shares that note's contents with the connected assistant, which may include sensitive staff information.
- Edits check the current note version. If another person changes it, the assistant must reload and reconcile the edit.
- Saving a note or event does not notify staff unless you explicitly request a notification. Posting to chat may notify staff according to their preferences.
- If a note creation request times out, check for the new note before retrying, to avoid duplicates.
What still belongs in the app
The studio tools do not upload new images, edit locations or synced external classes, assign class routines, invite/remove members, change staff roles, acknowledge or comment on notes, mark announcements or chats read, or change chat alert preferences. Use ReformCue for those tasks. Existing embedded images can be read in notes. Walla links in an imported calendar create class records. Calendar lookup has a date-boundary margin and does not expand weekly repeats.
Troubleshooting
- If sign-in expires, reconnect through your client's authentication flow.
- If a library or studio is missing, check the signed-in account, membership and active studio access.
- If studio tools are missing, that server has not enabled studio tools; the routine tools cannot perform staff-management actions.
